- School owners, principals, and staff
- Parents/carers
- Students
- Invited professionals/specialists
- Platform administrators
Some features depend on role, permissions, education mode, and subscription status.
3. Accounts and Access
You must:
- Provide accurate information
- Keep your login credentials secure
- Use the Platform only within your authorised role and permissions
- Do not attempt to access data you are not authorised to view
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.
4. School/Organisation Use
If you use E.L.A.H.A on behalf of a school/organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms and any related agreements (including the DPA).
5. Acceptable Use
You must not:
- Upload unlawful, abusive, discriminatory, or harmful content
- Upload content that infringes intellectual property rights
- Attempt to bypass permissions or security controls
- Misuse of messaging, resources, or collaboration tools
- Introduce malware or attempt to disrupt the Platform
- Use the Platform to provide medical/legal advice as a substitute for qualified professionals
6. User Content (Uploads, Notes, Evidence, Messages)
You retain ownership of content you upload, but you grant us a limited licence to host, process, display, and transmit that content to provide the Platform.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any content (including images/documents containing others’ data).
7. Resources and Learning Content
Resources and lessons may be created by platform admins, schools, or authorised users. Unless explicitly stated, resources are provided for educational support and do not guarantee outcomes.
Where resources involve submissions/evidence, you are responsible for the content submitted.
8. Home Education Features
Home education tools are designed to support families and invited professionals. E.L.A.H.A does not replace local authority guidance, legal obligations, or professional services.
9. Marketplace, Payments, and Refunds (If Enabled)
If marketplace features or paid services are enabled:
- Payments may be processed by third-party providers (e.g., Stripe/Stripe Connect)
- Where schools sell items, the school may be the merchant of record for certain transactions
- Refund policies may vary depending on the product/service and the selling school/organisation
You should ensure your school policies (refunds, delivery/collection, disputes) are communicated clearly to parents/users.
10. AI Features (If Enabled)
If AI features are offered (e.g., summaries, assistance, translation):
- Outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete
- You must verify outputs before relying on them
- AI outputs are not professional advice (medical, legal, safeguarding)
We may apply usage limits, monitoring, and abuse-prevention controls.
11. Availability and Changes
We aim to keep the Platform available, but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features.
12. Intellectual Property
The Platform software, branding, design, and content we provide are owned by us or licensed to us. You may not copy or reverse engineer the Platform except where permitted by law.
13. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses
- We are not responsible for decisions made by schools, parents, or professionals using the Platform
- We do not guarantee educational outcomes
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under law.
14. Termination
You may stop using the Platform at any time. We may suspend/terminate access if you breach these Terms or for security/legal reasons.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. (Adjust if needed.)
